An Edwardian Suffragette Medallion, ,I have owned this wonderful piece of subversive jewellery for about 20 years. When bought it I wasn't quite sure what the WSPU was, but it was very intrigued , showing an image of a sower to one side and to the other a trumpeting angel amongst broken chains . I found out from research what a treasure it was. It is mounted in a gilt metal and double glass mount and is made from two pieces of thin paper . probably cut from one of the WSPU pamphlets at the time. Not an expensive piece of jewellery and one that could easily be hidden, perhaps worn by someone who wanted to keep their affiliations secret. I have always treasured it #OriginalWSPUMedallion#SuffragetteMedal #WomensSuffrage1918#SomeWomenGetTheVoteIn1918
